The Sculpture Garden surrounds Pizzuti Collection’s building and features works by Cristian Andersen, Alexandre Arrechea, Tonico Lemos Auad, Enrique Martínez Celaya, John Chamberlain, Tony Cragg, Tom Friedman, Thomas Houseago, and Jason Middlebrook.
The Sculpture Garden is a peaceful place to pause and enjoy a group of compelling works including Martínez Celaya’s potent Tower of Snow and Thomas Housago’s monumental Bottle II that melds bottle and skeletal shapes into an oversize form. Magnificent sycamore trees provide shade across the garden, which is home to Ron Pizzuti’s first site-specific commission: Jason Middlebrook’s winding Strata Benches. These works are layered concrete slabs embedded with door handles and hinges, tiles, mirrors, elevator buttons, and pipe fittings left over from the offices of The United Commercial Travelers Insurance Company who built this building as their headquarters in the 1920s.
We look forward to welcoming you to our Sculpture Garden during our visiting hours and by appointment. Stay tuned for news about events in this space.
